Neal Martin
The 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis Village shows fine delineation on the nose, traces of dark chocolate and espresso tincturing the dark berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, displaying the backbone you expect from this appellation and with fine salinity and pepperiness towards the finish. Very fine. 89-91 points

Pale lemon and lime, dances nicely, far from over ripe, some fresh apples, a little citrus, otherwise white fruit. Stays fresh thanks to good natural acidity, and clearly has some character. 90-92 points

An appealingly layered nose reveals notes of various red berries, especially cherry, along with floral and warm earth nuances. The succulent, round and delicious middle weight flavors that culminate in a moderately firm and youthfully austere finale. This is sufficiently supple on the mid-palate that it could actually be approached on the younger side. 88-91 points

The 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis Village is showing nicely, wafting from the glass with aromas of plums, orange rind, warm spices, peonies and sweet soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, deep and elegantly muscular, with powdery tannins and a vibrant core of fruit, this is very promising. 89-91+ points
