2019 Chapoutier Ermitage L`Ermite Rouge

The jewel in the Chapoutier crown. L`Ermite is a 3 hectare plot at the top of the Hermitage hill where the vines are over 80 years old, and are planted on poor granitic soils. A powerful, complex wine full of dark fruit, spice and ink characters, with silky tannins and notes of smoke and pepper. Elegant and aromatic, exceptional depth and balance.
