The 2019 Bourgogne Roncevie was quite primal on the nose, packed with ripe red fruit, kirsch and cassis, but obviously had some way to go through its élevage. The palate is again, sweet and candied in style with saturated tannins and a rounded, generous finish. 84-86 points

Powerful deep purple, looks and smells like a much more significant wine than a Bourgogne. Frankly, this is utterly gorgeous, a wine of such charm and weight, a nice little touch of acidity. This has major staying power, what’s not to like! Wonderful length and class here. 88-90 points
