2018 Roger Sabon Lirac

Lirac is just across the river from Chateauneuf-du-Pape and has a slightly different terroir with a bit more sand, but the mix of grapes is similar. This is an exuberant and jolly red wine, without new oak, very versatile with foods and especially at home with spicy dishes. It`s a brilliant value, no-nonsense wine of pleasure. (CW 14/06/19)
