This is a cuvée of significant size, totalling 17,000 bottles from 10 plots. Tense lean nose. Some phenolic grip here, with enough flesh on the palate, even a hint of sucrosity and a fine long finish. This plays out very well. 90 points

The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Village Blanc is showing well, opening in the glass with notes of pear, Meyer lemon, toasted nuts and dried white flowers. On the palate, it`s medium to full-bodied, fleshy but precise, both more open-knit and a touch less concentrated than the superb 2017. This will drink well young. 88 points

Loads of smokiness on the nose with a real drive of fresh peachy fruit. Quite dry at the moment on the mid palate, pleasant but needs time to deal with the oak. 16+ points
