The 2018 Barolo del Comune di Verduno turned out even better than I expected. Dark and beautifully layered, the 2018 offers up an intriguing mix of dark blue fruits, lavender, spice, dried herbs and flowers. The 2018 has gained a bit of mid-palate depth that works so well in filling out its mid-weight frame. This is such a classy wine. 92 points

Rose, woodland berry, pine forest and culinary spice are just some of the aromas you`ll find on this fragrant, fantastic red. Smooth, full-bodied and polished, the savory palate delivers ripe red cherry, crushed raspberry, star anise and white pepper alongside velvety tannins. Fresh acidity keeps bright. 96 points
