The Clos de la Roche takes its name from the rocky veins that reach the surface of the vineyard, and it delivers a powerful, mineral wine. Not as perfumed as some of the grand cru cuvees, but it instead offers structure and firm tannins to buttress the warm red fruit aromas. Structurally beautiful, both powerful and refined, it will give more and more over time. (NT 06/01/20)

Jasper Morris MW
Mid purple without full clarity. The bouquet combines stems and reduction. Flirting with volatility, with a complex mix of black cherry and some fresher red berry notes. Stems add a little spiciness which helps to maintain a freshness which might otherwise struggle. Drink from 2028. 93 points
