Neal Martin

The 2017 Rabaud-Promis was very primal on the nose with grapefruit, dried honey and touches of pineapple eventually emerging. The palate is well balanced with a rounded, peachy entry. There is plenty of tropical fruit here although I will be seeking more mineralité and terroir expression once this is in bottle. 90-92 points

Jane Anson

Rich sunflower in colour, this is more concentrated than some, showing good intensity and a lovely texture through the palate. It features a gathering together of nectarine and peach flavours that softly persist over several minutes. I wonder if the grapes achieved a little too much ripeness before the botrytis came along - there`s no doubt that this has impact and power, a good example of the vintage, but it ideally needs more acidity to lift it. 92 points

Bommes. 80% Sémillon, 20% Sauvignon Blanc. Pear and pinapple aroma. Broad and rich on the palate but finely balanced by the freshness. Depth and zip at the same time. 17.5 points

The 2017 Rabaud-Promis opens with pronounced lime cordial and lemon tart notes with hints of pineapple and candied peel. The mouth gives pristine, super pure flavors with a wicked acid backbone and great length. 92-94 points
