2017 Ghislaine Barthod Bourgogne Rouge

Good depth and freshness with fine texture. It`s floral, fresh and has good length. It`s very delicate but persistent wine. (CW 5/11/18)

Neal Martin

The 2017 Bourgogne Rouge, which comes from mainly 70- and 80-year-old vines, has a light fresh raspberry and crushed strawberry bouquet that is nicely defined. The palate is well balanced, the 15% new oak nicely integrated and just giving a little heft on the finish. 85-87 points

William Kelley

The 2017 Bourgogne Les Bons Bâtons offers up beautiful aromas of sweet Griotte cherries, red berries, dried flowers and orange rind. On the palate, it`s medium to full-bodied, pure and satiny, with a tangy core of fruit and chalky structuring tannins. From a parcel in Gilly-lès-Cîteaux, one of the finest locations classified as Bourgogne, this cuvée would embarrass many village wines. 88-90 points

Allen Meadows

Buoyantly fresh aromas consist of pretty essence of red berries, violet, lavender and a whiff of earth. There is a lovely sense of energy to the agreeably textured flavors that conclude in a refreshing finish where a touch of bitter cherry pit arises. Lovely. 86-89 points
