2017 Father John Boonville Pinot Noir
Secondary Description
Anderson Valley
Gorgeous aromas of strawberry and cream, developing into red cherry, blood orange, negroni, superb complexity and depth, even a hint of strawberry bubblegum from semi-carbonic maceration. The palate is assertive and savoury, with plenty of ripe red fruit, a hint of spice and a thin veil of very fine tannin. Excellent lift to the acidity; there is subtle structure here for long-term ageing, a very serious, excellent wine. (JH 28/08/2023)
