The 2017 Brouilly from the Château des Tours is also showing well, wafting from the glass with a lovely bouquet of cherries, raspberries, peonies and orange rind. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, with a bright core of fruit but firmer, more austere structuring tannins than those found in its fleshier, more gourmand 2018 sibling. 88 points
