As ever, this is the first wine of the visit and the cask sample shows a wine of good texture with matter, density and freshness with red fruit. It`s very fine, light and elegant. (CW 8/11/18)

This is a really significant cuvee at Domaine Arlaud (130 barrels) and it is a really good one, year in, year out. The 2017 has a dark purple colour, a fresh clean nose, and lots of energy. Unlike some other aromatically pretty Bourgognes, this has real juice in the middle not just the attractive perfume of red and black fruit. Lovely texture. 89 points (5-star wine)
