One of Turley`s emblematic bottlings, the 2016 Zinfandel Old Vines exhibits a lovely bouquet of raspberries, plums, cherries and licorice. On the palate, it`s medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with rich structuring tannins, a generous core of fleshy fruit and a long, flavorful finish. Passalacqua notes that a lot of the single vineyards that Turley works with today began life as part of the Old Vines blend while the sources and farming improvements were made and that a few barrels of many of the top single vineyards usually find their way into the blend. 91 points
