A hedonistically expansive floral perfume dominates the bouquet on the 2016 Bioma. Dirk Niepoort says that Bioma `goes its own way`, but truth be told when compared with 2016 ports from other houses the floral Niepoort house style is still very much in evidence. Aged in an ultra-traditional style, in pipe rather than wooden vat as is the modern norm, this has a formidably impressive structure - it will make very old bones. (NT 04/06/18)
