Leafy, spicy and super-savoury, yet with a rich vein of cranberry and cherry fruit. The aromas are very inviting, with a fun forest-floor complexity, and the palate is rounded and elegant, with very soft, ripe tannin. This is a fairly easy-going style of Chinon from Couly-Dutheil, yet the ageing potential is obvious. (JH 11/01/2022)
