The nose of the 2016 Alberto Oggero Roero is reminiscent reminiscent of the wild strawberry of the Sandro and on top of that there`s floral, violetty, red fruit. In the mouth it starts off dry, with nutmeg, perfumed spice, cinnamon, roses. Good tannins, fine acidity, the whole has a nice precision and purity to it. There`s power here too, but kept in check. In the mouth it`s linear, pure, delicate and with presence. Long, and finishes on rose/violet and graphite. Super and only a teeny, weeny amount of sulphites. (CW 21/10/19)
