Media Reviews

Neal Martin

The 2015 Sarget de Gruaud-Larose is a blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 8% Petit Verdot. It has a modest nose, rather tight and a little distant at the moment, with dusky black fruit, rather introverted in style. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly coarse tannin, moderate depth but requiring more breeding to come through on the finish. 84-86 points

Steven Spurrier

High 72% Cabernet gives this second wine firm, direct fruit with the natural rich smoothness seen in the grand vin. More elegant and precise than in the past. 90 points
