Allen Meadows

This too had recently been racked and the nose was dominated by sulfur. By contrast there is good freshness and intensity to the more refined if less mineral-driven flavors that are rich, generous and delicious while offering good if not special depth and length on the balanced finale. This is another wine that should drink very well young. 88-91 points

Stephen Tanzer

Pale yellow-green. Musky, subtly complex aromas of lime blossom, mint and crushed herbs plus an element of iodiney reduction. Then dense, ripe and sweet, showing lovely limey, floral lift in the mouth and a repeating herbal element. Very concentrated wine with a tactile impression of dry extract, but the finish is a touch aggressive and hard-edged. Droin said that these vines were ready to harvest at the time of the hail, but only time will tell if the wine`s bitter edge will be absorbed. Production here was just 23 hectoliters per hectare.

Jancis Robinson

Racy and minerally and exciting. Very savoury. GV. 17 points
