Failla`s 2015 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is absolutely delicious. Ripe, plummy and flamboyant, the Sonoma Coast Pinot is quite exotic in this vintage. Intense color and a darker flavor spectrum than normal - both vintage signatures - are evident. Black cherry, hard candy, cola, spice and leather notes are all nicely pushed forward. The 30% whole clusters add quite a bit of aromatic nuance to play off the rich, dense fruit. This is a fabulous entry-level offering from Failla and proprietor Ehren Jordan. 90 points
