Tamlyn Currin
Much more savoury and umami than the 2008 – is this the vintage, the blend, or where it is in its evolution, I wonder. Beef stock cube, pressed dates, paprika. But such tang! Wet clay and blood orange. This has gypsy fire and the structure of tannins and acidity, tightly meshed, surround the wine like a ring of stones, smoky, glittering, rugged-smooth. 16.5 points
