Form a partly 50% steep slope on aggressive limestone from the oligocene (pH of 9.5), the 2014 Riesling Heimbourg displays a very pure, deep, coolish-fresh and slightly smoky/flinty Riesling bouquet, with ripe white stonefruit and some spicy clove flavors. Full-bodied and perfectly round, this is a very elegant, minerally-piquant and juicy Riesling with a lovely fruit intensity and a stimulatingly salty, well-structured, grippy finish. This is an excellent, very finessed Riesling on premier cru level. 92 points
