Neal Martin
The 2014 Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru has a little more fruité that its village cru counterpart, furnished with raspberry and wild strawberry aromas that are nicely defined. The palate is succulent on the entry with fine tannin, very well balanced with a tensile, very elegant and precise finish. This is well worth seeking out - lovely! 88-90 points

(from Les Duresses and Grands Champs). Reduction pushes the underlying fruit to the background and renders the nose hard to assess. There is excellent energy to the slightly bigger and richer flavors that possess an attractive mid-palate mouth feel that deliver dusty, stony and again moderately austere finish. 86-89 points
