2014 Graziano Lambrusco Fontana dei Boschi

Lambrusco?! Am I serious?! Yes it is and yes I am. This hard to find and very high quality wine is a fabulous match for charcuterie and cheese - both the smellier the better. It does after all come from the region that gives us Parmeggiano and Parma ham. Its freshness and lightness combine with some serious mineral character and fruit, while the tannic backbone and dryness add weight and structure. For anybody my age, this is light years from the Lambrusco of our youth. For you young people, especially Hoxton dwellers, this is dead on trend. (CW 27/09/16)
