Perhaps the ultimate under-the-radar Pauillac property, the Gaudin estate lies within spitting distance of much more prestigious Chateaux. It`s a great price for a Pauillac, but better than that it also represents very good value. From one of our favourite vintages of recent times, the firm but open structure and expressive fruit make a proper Sunday luncheon claret. Old boy. But it`s also a great introduction for people wanting to get a handle on what Bordeaux is all about. (CW 15/06/18)
