Cask sample. Blend of the Verduno holdings as well as the young vines of Gramolere in Monforte d’Alba. Lustrous and just mid ruby. Proper concentration on the nose and fluid and lithe on the palate. Really burgundian in style and truly delicious. Firm finish with plenty of length and fruit. 17 points
