2014 Dujac Fils et Pere Gevrey-Chambertin
Secondary Description
There is a slightly funky nose to the 2014 Dujac Fils et Pere Gevrey-Chambertin but there is restrained and elegant fruit aplenty too. It is a shame that this is the last vintage of fruit from this grower, as he has cancelled the Dujac contract. It has beautiful balance, soft acidity and very fine tannins to wrap the long finish. The 2014 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a simple but charming, pastille-like bouquet that unfolds from the glass. The palate is well balanced with taut, chalky tannin, a keen line of acidity and a brisk citric finish. Drink over the next 3-4 years.
