2014 Dujac Fils et Pere Chambolle-Musigny

Secondary Description
At Dujac there was a bit of discussion over the barrels we were tasting from as they were almost all ne, so everything showed much oakier that it will in bottle. Take the 2014 Dujac Fils et Pere Chambolle, which in our sample had an almost American oak trait. However it was showing perfumed, very ripe cherry fruit. (CW 5/11/15)

The 2014 Chambolle-Musigny Village has more red berry fruit than the Morey-Saint-Denis Villages. cranberry and wild strawberry, a touch of sous-bois. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, very harmonious, a little linear at the moment but the freshness is threaded through from start to finish. 86-88 points
