Brilliant ruby. Sexy, mineral-tinged raspberry and cherry compote aromas are complicated by notes of white pepper and potpourri. Palate-staining red berry liqueur and dried cherry flavors gain weight and power as the wine opens up. Quite lively given its heft and intensity, finishing sweet, subtly tannic and very long. (90-92 points)
