2014 Domaine de L`Eglise (Pomerol)

The Domaine de l’Eglise 2014 is a blend of 97% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc. The nose is more vivacious than La Croix du Casse `14 but the fruit darker, here imbued with blackcurrant than strawberry and raspberry. The palate is medium-bodied with tensile tannin, a fine line of acidity and more structure and depth on the finish compared to the La Croix du Casse. This is a fine Pomerol and one of the better recent releases from this estate in recent years. 89-91 points
