From Verona and the land of many cellars comes Corte Sant`Alda. One of the joys of Italian wine is the constant range of local varieties, and their Ca Fiui blends a range of varieties mostly native to the Veneto. Corvina, its bigger brother Corvina Grosso, Rondinella, and Molinara (not to mention Croatina, Rossara and possibly some more). The winemaking is almost entirely natural, but the result is still very polished. Violets, blackcherry and a touch of herb all jostle for position here, then integrate into the smooth finish.
