2014 Chapoutier Chateauneuf Croix de Bois
Secondary Description
Both the Chapoutier Chateauneuf-du-Papes see no wood, being fermented entirely in concrete. On the nose there is fresh raspberry and candyfloss (much more attactive than it sounds). On the palate of the 2014 Croix de Bois there is licorice. It is a big wine with fairly chunky tannins and apparently low acidity and finishes with raspberry confit and mineral notes. (CW 19/05/15)
