Sangiovese, Barbera, Sagrantino
Whilst the DOCG Sagrantino is 100% of that grape, the Montefalco Rosso has never been just a second wine. This is a blend of Sangiovese, Barbera and Sagrantino. Barbera has been documented in Umbria for well over 200 years, but the Piemontese were the first to label it varietally and thus it is now associated only with them. As with all of Tabarrini`s wines, this displays fine tannins and good, food-friendly structure. (CW 02/10/18)
