John Gilman
Continuing the theme of 2013 chez Lafarge, the Clos du Chateau des Ducs is again very red fruity in personality this year, wafting from the glass in a blend of cherries, red plums, a touch of raw cocoa, glorious minerality, nutskins and gamebirds. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and very tangy, with fine mid-palate concentration, svelte tannins and a very long, transparent and complex finish. A beautiful vintage for the Clos du Chateau des Ducs. 2023-2060+. 93 points
