The regular 2013 Pouilly-Fumé comes from different limestone (terres blanches) parcels in Les Loges with vines averaging 35 years old. Fermented spontaneously and being aged for eight months on its lees in stainless steel, it has a nice greenish shimmer in its citrus color, whereas its clear and dense bouquet reveals lovely aromas of limes, maraschino, guava, green apples and gooseberries as well as a nice limestone touch. On the palate this elegant and medium-bodied wine is very well-balanced and keeps all the promises the nose has given. This is an excellent food wine, not only for seafood. 88 points

£2 more than the others and it showed. The standout by far. Rich, sweet passion fruit sorbet flavours with a minerally saline finish. jancisrobinson.com May 2016
