2011 Bollinger 007 Limited Edition

Secondary Description
2011 was a truly great vintage for Pinot Noir in Champagne, so great that Bollinger’s cellar master was inspired to create a wine exclusively from this grape and only from fruit harvested from the Grand Cru village of Ay. This same year marks a 40-year relationship between Champagne Bollinger and its most iconic on-screen consumer, British secret agent 007. In 1978 the producer of the Bond franchise Albert R. `Cubby` Brown met Christian Bizot, MD of Bollinger, and the following year Bolly appeared on screen in the hands of the rakish Roger Moore in Moonraker. Its continual appearances since then have made Bollinger something of a household name in Britain, as well as imbuing the Bollinger brand with a sense of Bond’s `British spirit`.
To celebrate this four-decade long friendship and the release of the 25th instalment of the Bond series No Time To Die, Bollinger has developed a limited edition Champagne bottle inspired by and dedicated to 007. While the luxurious black bottle and glass and wooden box evoke the timeless sophistication of Bond, the Champagne itself is complex and concentrated, reflecting the character and quality of a grand cru site and a stand-out vintage. /RRS
