Composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, the 2009 Halycon Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot offers a deep garnet-purple color and intense black cherry, tar, anise, earth and espresso notes. Medium-bodied, crisp with medium-firm fine tannins, it has pleasant dried herb notes coming through in the long finish. Good now, it should keep to 2015+. 88 points
