2009 Michel Lafarge Aligote Raisins Dores

Secondary Description
Picked on 15th September. Very perfumed, rhubarb with a hint of custard, reminds me very much of a Chapoutier Ermitage blanc. Good balance and grip. Not yet racked. Very good. (CW 03/11/10)

Media Reviews

Sarah Marsh

Appealing light golden aroma with a hint of freshly squeezed lime. Rich on the palate for Aligoté, juicy, rounded and quite full with a touch of fresh acidity on the finish. Very pleasant. Ready when it is released.

Jancis Robinson

Rich but perhaps not as precise as in some years – quite cidery and brutal. Drink 2011-2014. 15.5 points

Allen Meadows

A spicy, ripe and admirably fresh nose that exhibits a mild exoticism leads to rich and solidly well concentrated flavors that are supported by firm acidity and excellent length for what this is. A fine Aligoté and if you like the variety, then this is one to check out. 86-88 points.
