2008 Talbot (St-Julien)

We tasted Talbot at the property and rated it higher than the critics we cite here. We think it will provide delicious drinking after a few years in bottle. (AR 21/04/09)

Ian d`Agata

Good bright, deep ruby-red. Fresh, minty nose is dominated by ripe red cherry and redcurrant, with hints of cinnamon and red rose. At once plump and juicy, with ripe red cherry and redcurrant jelly flavors given very good precision by harmonious acids. The lovely long, floral finish shows a hint of pepper and ultra-smooth tannins. One of the most promising Talbots in years, and very well done. 88-90 points
