2008 Glenburgie, AD Rattray 12 yo 57.4%

Full-bodied and malty, grassy and sweet, this is a very classic Speyside style of whisky. Glenburgie has flitted in and out of whisky history since the early 19th century. It was founded in 1829 - or was it really founded less legimately around 1810? It closed down a couple of times, only to stage a return. It was demolished and built completely afresh in 2003. It just goes to show, you can`t keep a good whiskly down. Give in and enjoy a dram of Speyside whisky as it was meant to taste. (NT 19/04/22)
