Mid crimson with blackish notes. Extremely distinctive nose. Herbal undergrowth plus some oak – not at all unpleasant! Soft and round. A little bit of a townie but this should afford lots of pleasure to all but the greatest purists. But it is exceptionally open. Lots of fruit to balance the tannins. 17 points
