Bourbon HH
Strathmill (aka `the mill in the long valley`) was originally a corn mill which was converted to a distillery during the late 19th century whisky boom. Though that boom turned to bust, and remains a cautionary tale to distillers to this day, Strathmill survived and became a classic blender. In its own right as a single cask bottling, this is a delight, creamy and sweet, like lemon drizzle cake. There’s even a salty undertone that very marries in very nicely. Delicious, and for me the epitome of what a good Speyside should be. (NT 22/08/18)
