Essex! New to our range during the pandemic, Danbury Ridge are a quality-focused estate in the Crouch Valley, not far from Chelmsford. No, this is not an early April Fools (although the wines will also be available to taste on Friday, if they last that long): these are excellent English still wines made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in an area last used for viticulture by the Romans.
And, because no tasting of English wines would be complete without a touch of sparkle, we will also be tasting two sparkling wines from the excellent 2018 vintage.
