Outside Madrid, high up in the Gredos Mountains, Australian born Daniel Ramos cultivates Garnacha and Albillo Real. Using minimal intervention in the winery, he produces elegant wines with an intense purity of fruit, silky tanins and fresh acidity. These are wines with beautiful balance, which showcase how well suited these grape varieties are to their enviroment. His well judged viticultural techniques make it no wonder he is know by his mates as `Kapi` - short for El Capitan. (DS 17/02/23)
