N.V. Stronachie 18 yo 46% (Highlands)

2010 saw the first vatting of the 18 year old Stronachie at the Ben Rinnes distillery and was produced from 6 Bourbon casks of 18 years and two Sherry butts of 19 years. Rich and complex, with a bit more peat than is standard in many modern expressions of Highland Malt, this parcel will be different from subsequent ones as the philosophy is to keep with the Victorian concept of blending more for quality than just consistency.
