N.V. Kilchoman Loch Gorm (Islay)

Loch Gorm is a peaty loch close by the Kilchoman distillery on the rugged (and beautiful) west coast of Islay. The Loch Gorm bottling is the only full sherry cask bottling in the Kilchoman range, and the 2015 release blends spirit that has been matured in both large Oloroso butts and smaller hogsheads, imparting more depth and a striking intensity. Smoky and rich, a fine marriage of characteristic Islay peat and sherry cask spice. (NT 29/07/16)
