The Cuvée Cherie Demi-Sec is a multi-vintage 100% Chardonnay from West Sussex and Hampshire containing 38g/L residual sugar. Readers in the US should note that this is exactly the same as the Demi-Sec, which previous bottles were labeled, without vineyard designation. It has a well-defined, brioche-tinged bouquet that demonstrates more reserve than expected, light almond scents mixing with honey and lemon thyme. The palate offers dried honey, tangerine, hints of pink grapefruit and a dab of sour lemon than neatly counterbalances the not-excessive sweetness on the finish. Fine. 89 points
