Jane Anson
Firm, floral, fragrant plum, red cherry, pumice stone and slate tannins, good intensity, this has balance, a little tart on the finish, but has oak-driven charm that will soften further over the next year in bottle. No need to wait too long to begin enjoying. Harvest 11 to 23 September. 25% new oak. 30hl/ha yield. 90 points

A gourmand, lively bouquet of cassis, dark berries, violet and flowers prefaces the 2025 Senejac. Medium- to full-bodied, juicy and enveloping, it’s built around a core of fruit with good depth and framed by velvety tannins, concluding with a long, structured and elegant finish. Particularly approachable this year, it is a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. 90-92 points

The 2025 Senejac, aged in 25% new oak, has a well-defined, quite estuarine bouquet that opens in the glass. It evokes a sense of place already. The palate is medium-bodied with firm and quite grippy tannins, harmonious but quite `serious` in style. Good complexity and sapidity, this is a classy and attractive Senejac that should age well in bottle. A fine Haut-Medoc. 91-93 points
