Media Reviews

Jane Anson

Enjoyable, brambled fruits, this is a lovely wine with real depth of cassis and blackberry, liquorice, cocoa bean, cigar box. Seriously enjoyable, carefully judging the freshness of the vintage. Basile and Berangère Tesseron owners. 38 hl/ha yield, harvest September 13 to 18. Eric Boissenot consultant, first year vinified in new vat room with about 70% cement vats and 30% stainless steel, with a rise in Cabernet Franc in the blend. 93 points

Antonio Galloni

The 2025 Larrivaux is a gorgeous, sensual wine. Floral, silky and impeccably balanced, the 2025 is a total delight. Bright red-toned fruit, new leather, dried herbs, mocha and spice are some of the many nuances that develop with a bit of coaxing. This Haut-Medoc delivers the goods, big time. 92-94 points

The 2025 Larrivaux was cropped at 25 hl/ha between 15 and 25 September. It has a pleasing bouquet with a mixture of red and black fruit, cedar and light sous-bois scents unfolding in the glass. Fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, perfectly judged acidity, very lithe in the mouth, but there is weight and just sufficient grip. A polished and classy Larrivaux that will give immense pleasure. 90-92 points
