The 2025 Riesling Norheimer Dellchen Auslese was made from early onset botrytis, picked before the rain, offering concentration rather than all-out botrytis flavors. Lemon on the nose is shy, but the palate holds concentrated, exquisite, bright purity and such straightness, such poise, such stony verve. There is barely a hint of fungus; instead, citrus radiates, shines, sparkles. Purity, brightness, moderate sweetness framed with zestiness are key. Wonderful. (Sweet) 97 points
