Neal Martin

The 2024 Beaune Clos du Roi 1er Cru has a rather stemmy nose (50%) that slightly impedes the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with quite firm tannins and the stemminess comes through, feeling a bit dominant on the finish. Let`s see how this matures in bottle. 86-88 points

Jasper Morris MW

In bottle. Pale crimson. 50% whole bunch vinification. A smoky note, the stems are less happy here. Pyrazine note, along with a light red fruit. Drier finish. 87 points
